Pastor Shawn Cooper

Pastor Shawn L. Cooper’s vision is to build and develop a kingdom of empowered people of God—spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially. His vision is motivated by Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.”
Pastor Cooper was born in White Plains, New York on July 20, 1972.
As a young boy, Pastor Cooper felt a tugging at his heart to be involved in ministry; however, it was not until he was 18 that he accepted his calling to ministry. Pastor Cooper was licensed into the ministry in 1997. Pastor Cooper continued practical ministerial education and was ordained into the pastorate in 2002. Pastor Cooper continued his service as the Associate Minister until he was called to the pastorate of Piney Grove in August of 2009. Pastor Cooper also serves as the Youth President of the 4th Shiloh under the leadership of Moderator Fredrick Favors.
Pastor Cooper has been blessed to have served for over 28 years in the Ministry. Committed to God and the Ministry in which he was chosen, Pastor Cooper decided to be a life long student of the Gospel. Yearning for deeper understanding, Pastor Cooper has obtained a Master of Arts in Christian Studies from the Luther Rice College and Seminary in Lithonia, Ga. and a Masters of Theology from the Southern Bible College & Seminary in North Augusta, South Carolina and is currently completing a Masters of Divinity at the Luther Rice College and Seminary inLithonia, GA.
Pastor Cooper is married to the lovely Tammy Cooper. Pastor Cooper’s vision gave birth to a new ministry, I Can Do All Things Ministries. Pastor Cooper founded the ministry because he believes “by the power of the Holy Spirit and though Jesus Christ, one can obtain and reach the impossible.” Fueled by his passion to teach the masses that “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me” Philippians 4:13, Pastor Cooper stays actively involved in local and surrounding communities throughout the state.
Spiritual, social and business progressions of the Christian community are some of Pastor Cooper’s sincere goals for the people of God. To ensure these goals are met, Pastor Cooper provides Biblical enrichment, spiritual guidance, motivational resources and economic empowerment. Through his ministry he is determined to help Christians overcome personal burdens and limitations while adopting a passion for personal and spiritual improvement.
First Lady Tammy Cooper
First Lady Tammy Cooper is a devoted wife to Rev. Shawn L. Cooper, Mrs. Cooper joined the Piney Grove Baptist Church of Dearing at an early age. She was a faithful member and was actively involved in several ministries such as youth ministry, hospitality ministry, and pastor support ministry.
She graduated from Thomson High School and later from Augusta Technical College, Augusta, GA. Mrs. Cooper worked as a Lead and Expanded Functions Dental Assistant for 15 years. Later, she received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biblical Studies from Southern Bible Institute and Seminary in North Augusta, SC. Mrs. Cooper is an entrepreneur and owner of Coop’s Clothing, LLC.
As the former First Lady of the Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, she worked closely with the youth department and the Women of Excellence Ministry. She is a member of the GA Association of Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows of Macon & Vicinity that is lead by her mentor, Dr. Doris Terry. She is the past President of the 10th District Ministers’ Wives of the General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia. Her life scripture is Isaiah 40:31, “But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
She enjoys designing customized tee shirts and shopping in her spare time. She has one daughter, Tamya, and currently resides in Bonaire, GA.
